SEMA Show Daily
Participating in SEMA’s Show publications is a simple, no-cost process that begins by submitting a press release to the SEMA Show Online Media Center.

The SEMA Show Daily is a key resource for Showgoers, providing a day-to-day breakdown and schedules of what’s happening on the Show floor, including schedules of celebrity appearances, special events, press conferences and education sessions. The Daily also offers a recap of new-product award winners, recipients of the SEMA Award, project vehicle reveals, updates on the Battle of the Builders competition and much more.

There are four issues of the SEMA Show Daily. The first issue is delivered about 30 days prior to the SEMA Show, with a circulation of 40,000, and offers a sneak-peek of the Show’s new attractions, special events and can’t miss-features. The other three issues are distributed during the Show on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

News for the Daily is collected from several sources—the main one being the SEMA Show  Online Media Center. Available at www.semashow.com/press, the Online Media Center is a valuable, one-stop repository for SEMA Show news, announcements and special events submitted directly by 2017 SEMA Show exhibitors.

Members of the media and journalists around the world access this library of submissions, seeking potential story ideas, new product announcements and the latest company news. Buyers and attendees use the site to learn of their customer’s plans for the Show, new product releases, or to track the companies they want to connect with during the event.

There is no cost to upload press releases and information, making it the one of the simplest ways to inform the industry about your company, booth and location number, new products, Show plans and more.

Many of the press releases uploaded to the Online Media Center are used in the SEMA Show Daily, as well as the pre-Show (October) and Show (November) issues of the SEMA News magazine. The products and editorial featured in SEMA’s pre-Show publications are chosen on a first-come, first-served basis. Because SEMA’s editorial team continues to use the Online Media Center for new stories until the SEMA Show opens, exhibitors are encouraged to continue uploading new materials to the Online Media Center as well.

pinewood
(L–R): Edie Clouse, Craig Turner, Susan Carpenter, Joan Turner, Reba Hicks, Mackenzie Hicks, Judy Brooks, Ashley Ailsworth, Molly Tomlinson, Nancy Flores, Christian Robinson, Matt Donovan, Julia Jeffs, Tom Brooks (organizer) and Eric Snyder.

Each year, working with qualified SEMA Cares charities, including Childhelp, Victory Junction and the Austin Hatcher Foundation, SEMA Cares volunteers help children build hundreds of pinewood race cars that can be purchased by SEMA members to support children in need. These pinewood cars will be raced at the SEMA Installation & Gala, and then shipped to purchasing SEMA members following the event.

Several volunteers recently attended the pinewood build day at Childhelp, located in Lignum, Virginia, where children decorated two cars, one of which they kept, and the other destined to be sold to a SEMA member as a part of the SEMA Pinewood Drag Races “Build-It-for-Me” category.

SEMA members can purchase their own kid-built pinewood cars and help a child in need.

Held in conjunction with the annual SEMA Installation & Gala, the SEMA Cares Pinewood Drag Races take place at the Fairplex Conference Center in Pomona, California, Friday, July 28, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. This elegant setting will play host to some of the most competitive drag racing on the planet. The finals will take place during the cocktail reception shortly before the banquet begins.

Proceeds from the races benefit SEMA Cares charities, including Childhelp and Victory Junction. Childhelp assists abused and neglected children by providing counseling and programs in a safe and secure living environment. Victory Junction provides the camp experience for children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses who otherwise would not be able to go.

Sponsoring a SEMA Cares pinewood drag race car is easy and rewarding. Help a child in need today.
