Numerous properties on the Strip are still available for less than $100 per night.

While we are just weeks away from the 2012 SEMA Show, there are still incredible values for hotel rooms all around Vegas, simply by booking in the official SEMA Block with Travel Planners. In fact, SEMA continues to work with the hotels to ensure everyone coming to Las Vegas has an affordable place to stay for each hotel class. Just this past week, SEMA negotiated a $30-per-night rate reduction at the Vdara Hotel, which not only applies for new reservations but also all those who previously booked through the official block. The all-suite four-diamond Vdara is a completely non-smoking and casino-free property, providing its guests a luxurious and quiet atmosphere right in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, while also providing all the traditional amenities at the neighboring ARIA.

Meanwhile, numerous properties on the Strip are still available for less than $100 per night, including the following:

Circus Circus
as low as $65 per night
Excalibur
as low as $65 per night
Luxor
as low as $80 per night
Mandalay Bay
as low as $80 per night
Monte Carlo
as low as $70 per night

New this year, we also have two of the most luxurious hotels downtown included in the official block, which means affordable options and complimentary shuttle transportation provided by SEMA from the hotels to the SEMA Show.

Golden Nugget
as low as $85 per night
Plaza Hotel
as low as $65 per night

Also note that all rates shown on SEMA’s official housing site include any resort fees that many properties in Las Vegas now charge. When comparing prices, be sure to verify if a particular property charges a resort fee and what the fee may be. While it can significantly increase the final rate one pays, wireless Internet and fitness center access at most properties are included in these fees.

Hotels will close shortly from the official site and discounted rooms will be difficult to obtain once these blocks sell out. Many will close in the next 10 days, so be sure to book now.

As always, SEMA will continue to keep you apprised of changes to hotel rates in the SEMA Housing Block, and any reductions made to rates are retroactive to anyone already booked in that hotel.

If you have any questions about booking your hotels for the SEMA Show, contact Travel Planners, SEMA’s Official Housing Bureau, at 800-221-3531 or e-mail res@tphousing.com.

This year’s “Race Industry Week” is scheduled to include more than 35 special events to be held in conjunction with the 2012 PRI Trade Show, as racing’s elite gather to not only acquire the latest racing technology, but also share insight into implementing that technology and knowledge throughout the racing industry.

Eight major events will take place in conjunction with this year’s PRI Trade Show, which will run November 29–December 1, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

The Advanced Engineering and Technology Conference (AETC), the International Council of Motorsports Sciences (ICMS) Congress, Claude Rouelle’s famed OptimumG Vehicle Dynamics & Data Acquisition seminar and EFI University, with its Seminar On Electronic Fuel Injection for Performance and Racing Applications, all return to Race Industry Week again this year.

They will be joined by the three newest additions to the program, “Winning The eRace – Digital Marketing Conference for Racing Businesses,” the “Winning Setup Strategies for Dirt Late Models” chassis seminar being organized by Dick Berggren and Karl Fredrickson of Speedway Illustrated magazine, and the Race Track Business Conference. In addition, the Industry Roundtable will return, but in a new time and format for 2012 with a focus on “The Racing Parts Business—2013.”

“The PRI Trade Show has gone beyond being an event that solely exchanges hardware and technology to one that is also a free-flowing exchange of ideas and knowledge from some of the most creative and knowledgeable minds in motorsports,” said John Kilroy, PRI Trade Show producer. “Race Industry Week allows suppliers and customers to come together and not only sell and purchase the latest innovations, but also better learn how to apply the technology that’s going to make you successful.”

Race Industry Week kicks off Monday, November 26, with the AETC and OptimumG Vehicle Dynamics & Data Acquisition seminar. Both are three-day events that run through Wednesday, November 28.

The ICMS Congress will run November 28–29, while “Winning The eRace” – Digital Marketing Conference for Racing Businesses; the Race Track Business Conference Presented by National Speedway Directory; and the EFI University XFI Training course are all one-day events scheduled for November 28.

Finally, “Winning Setup Strategies for Dirt Late Models” and the Industry Roundtable will take place Friday, November 30, and both are free to show attendees.

Advance registration is required for the AETC, Race Track Business Forum, Vehicle Dynamics Seminar and EFI University XFI Training course and each has a fee to attend, while the Digital Marketing Conference is free to all registered attendees.
