With more than 2,000 exhibitors committed to the 2011 SEMA Show, it's truly becoming a can't-miss event. If you haven't already, register for the 2011 SEMA Show today.

Exhibitor registration for the 2011 SEMA Show has confirmed what many in the specialty-equipment industry have known for years—the Show is a can't-miss, once-a-year opportunity for buyers to connect with the hottest products and latest trends. As buyer registration continues to soar, exhibitors continue to login and commit to booth space in record numbers.

As of Monday, August 22, the Show management team is proud to announce there are now more than 2,000 confirmed exhibitors. In fact, a total of seven new exhibitors registered Monday morning, firmly establishing the 2011 SEMA Show on the radar of the most influential companies in the specialty-equipment industry.

Across the board, the numbers are truly encouraging. Here's a quick rundown:

Net Square Footage
  Up 10%
Total Number of Exhibitors   Up 13%

To view the 2011 SEMA Show floor, find out about enhanced services or check the index of exhibiting companies, visit the new SEMA Show website at www.SEMAShow.com.

In addition to the positive trend among exhibitors, buyer registration is up 43% and media registration is up a whopping 75%. And another indicator of the Show’s vitality, housing nights sold, is tracking at a rate 97% higher than last year. That statistic indicates that more attendees will be coming and that they plan to stay longer. If you still need to reserve hotel accommodations, take advantage of your status as a SEMA Show attendee and book your room today.

With companies continuing to register at such a record pace, Show management reports that this level of commitment by exhibitors has not been seen since 2008. And, ultimately, the encouraging milestone of more than 2,000 exhibitors represents one of the most substantial value-propositions when it comes to attending the 2011 SEMA Show. In just one week (November 1–4), buyers attending the 2011 SEMA Show have the opportunity to participate in a vast amount of educational, networking and social events—rubbing elbows with colleagues, celebrities and true industry icons. Beyond the events and special activities, however, attendees also have the chance to come face-to-face with more than 2,000 companies, dedicated to helping grow their businesses.

VW GTI

The team at Brenda Priddy & Co. recently grabbed these shots of the Golf GTI.

The shooter says that the GTI wheels and dual exhaust (not shown) indicate that this is no ordinary Golf—only the GTI models get that sort of exhaust setup. Priddy expects the finished product to have a more aggressive front end, with honeycomb grille inserts along with the traditional red brake calipers.

Under the hood, this GTI model should continue with an updated, 2.0 turbo, tuned for at least 200 hp.

Watch for production to start around the middle of 2013.

MPMC-member companies are invited to attend a networking breakfast, Friday, September 2, at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, during the NHRA U.S. Nationals.

Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC)-member companies are invited to attend a networking breakfast, Friday, September 2, at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, during the NHRA U.S. Nationals. The breakfast mixer is from 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m., in the hospitality tent located on the top end of the PRO pits.

“This is a networking, mixer-type event,” said MPMC Chairman Kyle Fickler of Weld Racing. “We (manufacturers) are all so busy at an event like the U.S. Nationals that we thought a breakfast gathering might provide an opportunity to share a cup of coffee and a pastry and catch up with each other.”

“We’re hoping to see not only our MPMC members there,” said MPMC Chair-Elect Vic Wood of Hedman Performance, “but all of our motorsports parts manufacturer peers who are exhibiting on the Midway at the U.S. Nationals.”

Impact by MasterCraft Safety is hosting a factory tour for all MPMC Breakfast Mixer attendees. The tour will begin shortly after the mixer, at the Impact factory located a short distance from Lucas Oil Raceway. Tour attendees will caravan to the factory immediately following the MPMC breakfast mixer, which ends at 10:00 a.m.

SEMA will present its second webinar in a two-part exploration of necessary information to help SEMA Show exhibitors make good choices so they can optimize their Show experience (Part 1 may be accessed in the webinar archives).

This session will consist of a walk-through of the SEMAShow.com Exhibitor Manual. Which forms do you need to complete and which ones should you look at? What do you absolutely need? How can you create a timeline? Are the deadlines really deadlines?

This webinar will review critical items, including:

  • Budget Worksheet: Upon completion, it will automatically add up all your anticipated expenses, giving you an idea of what you will spend.

  • Deadlines Checklist: You can save money on all the items you order for the Show just by applying for programs and supplies by the deadline. Also, this is a great way to see and take advantage of every program SEMA has to offer.

  • Who are the official contractors? What services can they offer?

Whether you are a first-time exhibitor or SEMA Show veteran, you don't want to miss this step-by-step look at the Exhibitor Manual, presented by Jennifer Carr of ConvExx, Tuesday, August 30, at 10:00 a.m. (PDT).
