RAM

This is the facelift for the RAM Power Wagon.

The HD-based Power Wagon will get another facelift before it moves to the new platform introduced by the upcoming 1500. The crosshair grille returns, and some new light treatments and sheetmetal will likely align it closer to the new RAM.

Inside, expect updates to UConnect and materials.

This should pave the way for a new Power Wagon in about two years’ time.

Media Trade Conference
Meet one-on-one with up to 42 executives from top motorsports parts manufacturers in the industry during the 2018 MPMC Media Trade Conference.

Journalists can take part in up to 42 private, uninterrupted meetings with executives from top motorsports parts manufacturers in the industry during the 2018 MPMC Media Trade Conference, January 23–25, 2018, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Santa Ana, California.

Editors can register now for the three-day exclusive event.

Media participation is free to all editorial representatives, making it the most affordable and efficient way for reporters to get detailed information specific to their audience needs and interests and gather a year’s worth of editorial content.

Company representatives come to the meetings prepared to discuss everything from their newest product lines to changes at their companies, to industry trends during their meetings with editors. Additionally, afternoon lunches and breaks provide further opportunities for meetings and networking.

Early registration guarantees that reporters will receive the best possible schedules prior to the event, and meetings are scheduled based on the companies that journalists select on their applications, so participants are encouraged to pay close attention to the companies they select. Journalists should also mark “Do Not Meet” for the companies outside of their editorial needs.

For questions regarding the event, visit www.sema.org/mtc or contact Juan Torres at juant@sema.org or 909-978-6722.

SEMA will host a business development program conference call December 13, at 10:00 a.m. (PST) for members who want to learn more about trips to two promising overseas markets. Hear from the SEMA international department and fellow SEMA members who have participated on prior business development programs.

Contact Kristin Atwan at kristina@sema.org to obtain the conference call-in numbers.

The two international trips include:

Middle East
The SEMA Middle East Business Development Program will be held April 3–8, 2018 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
AustraliaThe SEMA Australia Business Development Program will be held May 24–28, 2018, in Melbourne, Australia.

SEMA Middle East—Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), April 3–8

Participants can learn the potential for their products in the customizing-crazy UAE and surrounding region (buyers attended the 2017 event from 11 countries), where consumers are eager to get the latest U.S. products for classic-car restoration, off-roading, racing, street performance and aesthetics. High disposable income coupled with a passion for personalization make this an attractive region.

The 2018 program includes hotel, meals, networking events, briefings, a tour of specialty-equipment shops and exhibiting at the Custom Show Emirates in a turnkey booth.

Exhibitor registration.

SEMA Australia—Melbourne Australia, May 24–28

Participants can explore this market of true gearheads and the opportunities for manufacturers of sought-after products for SUVs/pickups, street performance and racing. Sales of the new Ford Mustang are red-hot, and rumor has it that Australia has more hot rodders per capita than anywhere else in the world.

The 2018 program fees include hotel, meals, networking events, briefings, a tour of specialty-equipment shops and exhibiting at the MotorEx Show in a turnkey booth.

Exhibitor registration.

U.S. government support is available for qualified companies. Slots are limited, so register now.
