Newfoundland and Labrador Minister Shery Gamin Walsh has again issued a proclamation designating July as Automotive Heritage Month in the Province, thanks in part to encouragement from the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada.

In the United States, since 2010, the U.S. Senate has passed resolutions at the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN) to recognize Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD). The day serves to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.

This year’s CCAD celebration is scheduled for Friday, July 13. In the previous eight years, thousands of hobbyists in the United States and Canada have gathered at car cruises, parades and other events to celebrate our shared automotive heritage.

Car clubs and business owners are encouraged to register their gatherings to be listed on the SAN website. Let’s get those cars and trucks out of the garage and onto the road! For more information, to register, and to download the official CCAD logo and flyer, visit the SEMA Action Network website.

For details, contact Colby Martin at san@sema.org.
