Arun Coumar is the SEMA Young Executives Network’s (YEN) newest Spotlight member. Coumar is the founder of Driven Performance Advisors, a company that helps shops and manufacturers in the performance and restyling industries grow their businesses by providing best practices for systems, processes and financial management.
Coumar grew up in and around shops as a customer and enthusiast his whole life. Having begun working with automotive aftermarket companies in 2018, he then founded Driven Performance Advisors in 2020.
SEMA: What is the best advice you have ever received?
Arun Coumar: Wake up early.
SEMA: What keeps you in the industry?
AC: Sharing a drive in unique, fast, beautiful cars of self-expression is my favorite activity in the world.
SEMA: Where can you be found on a Saturday?
AC: Preparing for the track underneath my e46, or at the track inside my e46.
SEMA: How do you prepare for an important meeting?
AC: Prepared with a clear idea of who I am talking to and what I believe we can both get out of the meeting.
SEMA: If you could go to lunch with one industry leader, living or dead, who it would be?
AC: I would want to go to lunch with social media influencer Garrett Mitchell, aka Cleetus McFarland. Buying a racetrack at 25 years old is pretty incredible.
