Get to know Keyburn in her Q&A with SEMA and SBN below:

SEMA: What is the best advice you have ever received?

Aliceje Keyburn: Not to let anyone tell you “you can’t” do something. If you believe in it, speak up and fight for it. If it doesn't work out, at least you know you tried and won't be second guessing “what if.” You learn from it and do it better the next round. Also, don’t be forgettable; get out in front of people and network for future jobs or collaborations; it's a small industry.

SEMA: What keeps you involved in this industry?

AK: My passion for both powersports and automotive. I love being around like-minded people who I can talk with, collaborate, walk shows and go to races with or even go ride dirt bikes with. Also, I am fortunate enough to work in an environment that allows me to be creative and let me do my thing. I feel respected by my peers and that they value what I have to say and the ideas I present.

SEMA: On a Saturday, where can you be found?

AK: Either working on freelance, the beach or at a motorcycle race or car show.

SEMA: How do you prepare for an important meeting?

AK: I am always open-minded and thinking of possible solutions that may have been overlooked in certain situations. I also try to keep to the point and if I am not sure about something, I will research and present at the next meeting or follow-up by email as to not waste anyone’s time.

SEMA: If you could go to lunch with one industry leader, living or dead, who would it be?

AK: Jeremy Clarkson. I think he would be a good mix of entertaining and insightful. I am sure he has some good stories about his travels around the world and the real “behind the scenes” tales of the cars and mishaps that have happened.
