SEMA Career Day
The third annual SEMA Student Career Day will connect more than 700 high school and college students from throughout the country with established businesses exhibiting at the 2018 SEMA Show.

The third annual SEMA Student Career Day, held in conjunction with the trade-only SEMA Show, is set to connect more than 700 high school and college students from throughout the country with established businesses exhibiting at the premier automotive trade event.

Held Monday, October 29, from 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m., at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas—a day before the official start of the SEMA Show—SEMA Career Day is the leading venue for students to begin their careers in the $43 billion automotive specialty-equipment industry. It is also the ideal place for businesses to discover top talent and future leaders who are dedicated and passionate about cars and trucks.

“SEMA Student Career Day is unique in that it focuses solely on the exciting automotive aftermarket industry, unlike typical career fairs, which are limited to local opportunities and represent a number of industries,” said SEMA Senior Director of Education Zane Clark. “We connect students who are looking for career opportunities in the automotive industry with aftermarket companies from all over the country."

The 2017 program included more than 40 companies and 700 students, many of whom were offered jobs from the event, and increased participation is expected at this year’s career fair.

“SEMA Student Career Day gave us the opportunity to not only share about our company, but to also talk with students about the industry in general,” said Roush Yates Racing Engines Director of Quality Jennifer LaFever. “The career fair is a great way to connect with students in a small group setting and find passionate individuals.”

Companies that sign up for SEMA Student Career Day to meet the future generation of the automotive aftermarket industry are provided a table, chairs and basic signage.
