Legislation was introduced in Virginia House of Delegates to allow military surplus off-road vehicles to be registered as antiques. A “military surplus off-road motor vehicle” is a high-mobility, multi-purpose wheeled vehicle manufactured by or under the direction of the United States Armed Forces and subsequently authorized for sale.

Under current Virginia law, “antique” vehicle registration is available for vehicles that are at least 25 years old and not used for general transportation. The bill has been assigned to the House Transportation Committee.
