Here are a few highlights of the numerous new product announcements made at the 2017 SEMA Show.

Honda announced that the Civic Type R’s 2.0L VTEC Turbo engine—the most powerful Honda automobile production engine made in America—is now available as a crate engine for purchase through Honda Performance Development’s (HPD) Honda Racing Line program. The 2.0L DOHC direct-injected i-VTEC Turbo powerplant produces 306 hp at 6,500 rpm and a peak 295 lb.-ft. of torque from 2,500–4,500 rpm. Honda’s extensive SEMA Show exhibit is in booth #24887.
The Honda Racing Line program, which has offered racing performance parts to Honda racers for many years, will sell the K20C1 turbocharged crate engine to racing enthusiasts in the United States for $6,519.87, excluding shipping cost. For more information on how to apply, visit booth #24887.
Recaro Announces Pole Position SL

To mark the 50th anniversary of its first shell seat in 2017, Recaro Automotive introduced the street-legal Recaro Pole Position SL.
A special limited-edition model for the aftermarket, it combines cleanly designed and distinctive sportiness with high-quality manufacturing and craftsmanship—making for sharp-looking interiors and the finest in dynamic driving pleasure. Its slim, one-piece seat shell of glass-fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) provides optimal lateral and shoulder support. The headrest and side bolsters of the handsomely sporty seat are covered in carbon-look fine leather, while black-stitched bright green leather bands accent the seat’s contours.
Deep black Dinamica microfiber fabric covers the seat cushion and backrest, ensuring a pleasant feel and optimum grip. Recaro fans will particularly appreciate special touches such as the embroidered Recaro logo, an elegant aluminum tag bearing the seat’s serial number, and a certificate of manufacture. Production is limited to only 300 units globally. The Recaro Pole Position SL will be available starting January 2018.

AirVANTAGE Advanced Series Pneumatic Sanders are ergonomically designed to deliver greater control, balance and comfort. Vacuum models feature a newly designed dual-vacuum exhaust channel, allowing for increased vacuum efficiency. In addition, a built-in fan feature on all motors reduces heat.
The sanders are available in a variety of models: non-vacuum, central vacuum and self-generating vacuum.
