Gentex to Showcase Its New Full Display Mirror Technology on Nissan’s GT-R LM Nismo Race Car at SEMA, Booth #11679

Gentex Corporation’s booth features one of Nissan’s GT-R LM NISMO race cars equipped with a complete rear-vision package comprised of glare-eliminating exterior mirrors and an all-new Full Display Mirror (FDM). Gentex’s display showcases the OEM production version of its FDM technology and demonstrates potential future FDM functionality. The FDM system consists of a custom, high-dynamic range imager that captures video of the vehicle’s rear view and streams it to a unique mirror-integrated display. The Gentex FDM offers bi-modal performance. In mirror mode, the product functions as a standard automatic-dimming rearview mirror. With the flip of a switch, the mirror enters display mode, and a clear, bright display appears through the mirror’s reflective surface, providing a wide, unobstructed rearward view.
