NHRA Funny Car icon John Force, the 15-time NHRA world champion and winner of an NHRA record 137 national events, was a special guest at the 2013 NHRA Breakfast at the SEMA Show Wednesday morning.

Force made a special appearance to offer a salute to many of his old pals from the PA Booth as NHRA honored the “Legends Behind the Microphone.”

The popular annual event at the SEMA Show showcased many of NHRA’s legendary drivers, team owners and other personalities within the sport.

Force took the stage with some of the most iconic voices and personalities to ever hold a microphone during the past six decades of racing in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. Dave McClelland, Bob Frey and Alan Reinhart shared some “behind-the-scenes” stories of NHRA drag racing and the special moments they witnessed throughout the years.

The panel was moderated by current ESPN2 lead announcer and long-time NHRA television personality, Dave Rieff. A special tribute for the late Steve Evans also occurred.
