2013 Gen-3 Innovator Award Finalists Announced

Brian Reese, vice president of product and business development for COMP Performance Group, won SEMA's inaugural Gen-3 Innovator Award at last year's SEMA Show Banquet.
  
Last year, SEMA created the Gen-3 Innovator Award to recognize the top young individual from the specialty-equipment industry who is making breakthroughs in the areas of new products, new approaches to business or setting new trends. The inaugural award was presented to Brian Reese of COMP Performance Group. This year's finalists include Hans Angermeier with CarCareKiosk, Jim Liaw with Formula Drift and Todd Petersen with MSD Performance.

The winner of the SEMA Gen-3 Innovator Award will be announced at the SEMA Industry Awards Reception and Banquet, Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the Las Vegas Hotel.

The SEMA Gen-3 Innovator Award winner is chosen based on the following criteria:
  • A “Gen-3 Innovator” is a young individual from the industry who is making breakthroughs in the areas of new products, new approaches to business or setting new trends.
  • The candidate must work in the automotive aftermarket industry.
  • The candidate must be under 40 years of age as of December 31 of the current calendar year.
  • An individual can win the award more than one (1) time provided that person qualifies for a second nomination.
