A prototype for the Porsche facelifted ’15 Cayenne has been photographed during its first round of tests on the famed Nürburgring. The updated Cayenne gets more angular headlights and reshaped frontal intakes, along with new LED strips that are now intergrated into the wide-set intakes, much like on the latest Porsche 911.
A new PHEV Cayenne is expected to bow with this mid-cycle facelift (actually due in calendar year ’14 as a ’15 model). The PHEV Cayenne is expected to follow the course charted with Porsche's Panamera Sport Turismo concept that bowed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, pairing a 3.0L direct-injected, supercharged V6 with a 100hp electric motor, generating a combined 420 hp. A twin-turbocharged V8 diesel is also planned for the U.S. market.
