Spy Shots—2015 GMC Canyon

 gmc

The shooters at KGP Photography have gotten their best look yet at the ’15 GMC Canyon, caught testing on one of GM's test tracks. This latest prototype reveals many new details of the Canyon's front fascia, including a telling look through the front camouflage to reveal much of its large grille design. The grille gets three horizontal slats with rounded edges, taking after the ’14 GMC Sierra, but still going its own way, design-wise.

Although the prototype is still utilizing its temporary, placeholder test headlights, viewers can get a clear sense of the headlights' blocky shape. New details of the front bumper are also visible, with bold sculpting around the fog lights, leading into a thick lower air intake.

The front end features visible on this prototype show that a lot of work has been done to Americanize the look compared to the softer, less-aggressive appearance applied to the original, global Chevy Colorado. The efforts to toughen up U.S. versions of the Colorado and the Canyon is a wise move to make them a better fit into American showrooms.
