Led Foot will once again perform at the 2011 SEMA Show After Party. |
The industry band Led Foot will once again headline the "SEMA's Got Talent" SEMA Show After Party, as they have done every year since 1999. The band, which plays mostly rock n' roll, country and blues, is made up of members from all segments of the automotive aftermarket, including manufacturers, WDs, sales reps, media and service providers. However, this year, the band plans to invite other industry members up to the stage to sit in and play or sing some of their favorite songs.
"We call this new format 'Led Foot Reloaded,'" explains Rich Barsamian, national sales manager for Advanced Clutch Technology, and also the band's guitarist and vocalist. "It was an idea that Lou Lobsinger from Pro Form had brought to me and we had been discussing it for a while but never could pin down the time to put it together."
The other key ingredient to this new format is to bring in an industry D.J. to spin beats between songs so that the party never stops.
"It is always fun to see different people you know up on stage performing," Barsamian says. "Our industry puts a lot of time and effort into pulling off the SEMA Show every year and the After Party is a great way to celebrate all that hard work, along with the winners of the SEMA banquet. It’s all about networking, dancing and enjoying the night. Led Foot has always wanted to give back as well, so we will raffle off a Fender Stratocaster at the After Party and sell Led Foot hats and T-shirts to benefit the Childhelp children's charity."
In addition to Barsamian, Led Foot members include: John Iannotte, lead guitar (NA Williams); Dave Williams, drums (Rampage Products); Alan Matthews, bass/vocals (RemFlex); Don Meziere, guitar/vocals (Meziere Enterprises); Kirk Correll, lead guitar, (WeatherTech); John Mathis, vocals/guitar/harmonica, (Professional Products); Lou Lobsinger, lead guitar, (Pro Form); Les Kirby, harmonica/vocals/guitar (NA Williams); Jeff Bates, drums (Bob Cook Sales); and Thom Balistrieri, guitar/vocals (SPAL USA).
SEMA members attending the Show who have musical talent and are interested in joining Led Foot on stage are encouraged to send an MP3 or video link to Rich Barsamian at rbarsamian@advancedclutch.com.
"We want to make this the biggest, best After Party ever," Barsamian exclaims. "C’mon and show your industry friends that SEMA’s Got Talent! You will also be helping a great children’s charity."
