The 2010 SEMA Design Award for Best GM Vehicle went to Peter Colello of Mumbles Marketing for his ’11 bronze Camaro.
General Motors will once again present its Design Awards for various categories at the SEMA Show. The automaker announced that the categories will be divided into two groups:
  • Vehicles: cars, SUVs, trucks, hot rods, restored vehicles
  • Technology: component/system design
SEMA Show exhibitors displaying a GM-based project vehicle at the 2011 SEMA Show can apply for GM Design Award consideration by using the GM Design Award Application (pdf). Companies can copy the application to apply for more than one vehicle or component award. Exhibitors may also forward the application to any suppliers who contributed to the GM Show vehicle or who have a new/innovative component design.

The awards for components will be presented to the design or manufacturing company and not the displaying company. Vehicle awards will be presented to the vehicle owners.

For more information, including details on judging, read the GM Design Award criteria (pdf). To submit a vehicle or component for consideration, use the GM Design Award Application (pdf). Questions? Contact GM's Bob Kern at 313-300-9471.
