Spy Shots—Chrysler's 300 SRT8 Flexing New Hemi V8 Muscle

Just a few weeks ago, Dodge took the wraps off the 465hp Charger SRT8. Mopar fans know that's only half the story when it comes to big, SRT sedans. Brenda Priddy's crew spied the other half—the Chrysler 300 SRT8.

The 20-inch SRT wheels and hi-po tires are the first clues that this is not your average Chrysler 300. Through the camouflage on the front, Priddy says there might be a honeycomb grille. Given the extensive camouflage on the front and rear ends, there may also be modest SRT design tweaks to the front and rear fascias and hood.

Under the hood will be the new 6.4L V8 Hemi, pumping out 465 hp and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. Priddy says that it should be mated to a five-speed automatic but offer paddle shifters.

Watch for the likely debut at the New York Auto Show in April.
