The custom PPG yellow and blue pearl paint is now dry on the “WD-40/SEMA Cares Mustang,” a custom version of the ’11 Ford Mustang GT being built by WD-40 and SEMA Cares. Specialty-equipment companies donating parts, equipment and services to the next stages of the project include: Hotchkis Suspension, Katzkin, L&G Customs, Nitto and Polk Audio. Cie Games will also create a virtual version of the vehicle to appear in Nitto 1320 Legends, an online racing game and social network.

All build partners are documenting how they use WD-40 during the remodel process through video demonstrations and testimonial footage.

The WD-40/SEMA Cares Mustang will debut at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, November 2–5, with a custom body kit from Street Scene Equipment, Stillen AP Racing six-piston brake kit with front calipers, Forgeline wheels and a Paxton supercharger system before being auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Show and Auction, January 17–23, 2011, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Proceeds from the sale of the vehicle will go to Childhelp and the Victory Junction Gang Camp children’s charities.
