Want to get your mitts on one of the most anticipated new Hondas of the decade? American Honda is offering tuners an opportunity to build long-term CR-Z project vehicles, set to debut at the 2010 SEMA Show.

Combining green technology with fun, sporty handling and styling, the 2011 Honda CR-Z promises a new era of hybrid performance and tuning. The two-seat sport hybrid will be offered with a six-speed manual transmission and three-mode drive system, which can be set to Econ, Normal or Sport modes and will go on sale later this summer.

Honda is offering a select group of vehicle customizers the opportunity to create project vehicles for the 2010 SEMA Show and beyond. Approved projects will include both “green” and performance attributes core to the vehicle as well as creativity, style and ambition.

Act quick! The deadline for proposal submissions is June 1, 2010.
