The SEMA family of 7,065 member companies sends its well wishes to “Speedy” Bill Smith, currently recovering from triple-bypass heart surgery in Lincoln, Nebraska.
In a letter to his employees at Speedway Motors, Smith said that when he was admitted to the emergency room on April 8, “I knew I was in the right place when my doctor arrived wearing Simpson racing shoes and had on a Bell Helmet T-shirt under his medical coat.”
Smith requests that no flowers or cards be sent.
