SEMA's Public and Government Affairs Office also works to develop and maintain a strong, positive relationship with representatives in the state legislatures and on Capitol Hill. The Association has helped establish state and federal automotive caucuses consisting of elected officials who are committed to supporting our industry and automotive hobbyists. Congressional visits are often arranged so that SEMA members can meet with their representatives and voice their concerns first-hand.

Karen Bailey-Chapman is SEMA's Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs, where she oversees all government affairs efforts for SEMA and the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) and leads programs related to legislation, regulations, and government policies on issues affecting emission regulations, consumer choice, business opportunities, and more. Karen is passionate about leading advocacy, public policy, and government affairs strategies across local, state, and federal jurisdictions. She has dedicated her career to creating and delivering unique and effective initiatives spanning multiple specializations and industries. Over the course of her career, she has worked for leading political advocacy organizations like Americans for Tax Reform and served as a public affairs executive with casino gaming company Penn National Gaming (now Penn Entertainment) and the American Beverage Association.

Eric Snyder is SEMA's Senior Director of Federal Government Affairs, where he oversees the association's Congressional and Executive Branch advocacy. Previously, Eric Snyder served in the administrations of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and President George W. Bush and worked statewide and presidential campaigns.

Will joined SEMA from the American Petroleum Institute, where he oversaw Carbon Management Campaigns and established and oversaw the organization’s first nationwide field organizing effort.

Matt Daigle is Director of Communications for SEMA’s Government Affairs office in Washington, D.C., bringing more than 20 years of experience and leadership in advocacy and member communications on Capitol Hill and for multiple professional associations. He supports the development and execution of strategic communications that help shape the views of voters and opinion leaders about the automotive aftermarket industry.

Eleanor Rollings is Director of PAC Development, based in SEMA’s Washington, D.C., office, where she leads efforts by SEMA & PRI PAC and Driving Force Action SuperPAC to support and amplify advocacy on behalf of the automotive aftermarket and motorsports industries. She is a long-time fixture in the political fundraising scene, with deep experience in high-impact giving campaigns and the cultivation of relationships with major donors, advocacy networks, and institutional partners.
Senior Manager for State Government Affairs
Victor Muñoz is SEMA's Senior Manager for State Government Affairs for the western half of the U.S., including California, bringing over a decade of experience in government affairs and community engagement. He advocates for the specialty automotive aftermarket industry on key legislative and regulatory issues impacting the aftermarket industry and automotive enthusiasts. Before joining SEMA, Victor managed government stakeholder relations at Southern California Edison and led legislative efforts for a state assemblymember in California.
Senior Manager for State Government Affairs
Tierra Hubbard is SEMA’s Senior Manager for State Government Affairs, where she supports SEMA’s state-based advocacy for the eastern half of the U.S. Hubbard has a proven track record working on behalf of nonprofits, local governments, and Fortune 500 companies, including in the automotive industry, most recently for respected public affairs firm Goff Public.
Senior Manager for Federal Government Affairs
Juan Mejia is SEMA’s Senior Manager for Federal Government Affairs, supporting SEMA’s advocacy efforts before Congress and executive branch agencies. Mejia has built an impressive public affairs portfolio in Washington, D.C., both as a registered lobbyist and political campaign staffer, most recently as an in-house lobbyist for the University of Arizona.
Manager, Digital Communications and Partnerships
Lauren Wilbor is SEMA’s Manager for Digital Communications and Partnerships, where she leads outreach and relationship management with a variety of stakeholders and online content creators in the automotive enthusiast community. Lauren brings a wealth of experience in grassroots advocacy and relational organizing, having previously run field organization efforts for campaigns nationwide.
Executive Assistant
Hadar Pridan reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs as Executive Assistant for the Washington, D.C., office, where she provides administrative support. Previously, Hadar worked in human resources for a chain of hardware stores. Hadar reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs, Karen Bailey-Chapman.
Political Coordinator
Sarah Lynch is a Political Coordinator in SEMA’s Washington, D.C., Government Affairs office, where she supports the organization’s efforts in political organizing, constituent engagement, project administration and communications. Sarah previously served as field organizer for the United Democracy Project, mobilizing community outreach in support of candidates for the U.S. Congress.
