“Afterthought”—a ’30 Ford Model A, owned by Ted and Colleen Hubbard of South Bend, Nebraska, and built by CAL Automotive Creations of Bennington, Nebraska—was the recipient of the 2017 Mothers Shine Award.
The 2016 Mothers Shine Award was presented to Billy and Debbie Thomas of Corpus Christi, Texas, for their ’39 Oldsmobile Series 60 Convertible, aptly named “Olds Cool.”
This year, the 14th annual winner of the Mothers Shine Award was selected from hundreds of the world's premier cars on display at the 2014 SEMA Show.
The 2013 Mothers Shine Award was presented to George Poteet of Memphis, Tennessee, for his ’69 Ford Torino Talladega "GPT Special." Aftermarket industry veteran John Naderi hosted the ceremony this year, which was held last week at the Mothers Polish SEMA Show booth.
