Top Fuel racers Morgan Lucas, Spencer Massey and Shawn Langdon, Funny Car racer Jack Beckman, and Pro Stock Motorcycle riders Doug Horne, Craig Treble and Hector Arana all locked up their spots in the NHRA’s Countdown to 1 playoffs during Sunday eliminations at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd.

With only nine events left in the 2009 Full Throttle Drag Racing season, John Force has yet to post an event win in 2009, putting his historic record of 22 consecutive seasons with at least one win in jeopardy.

Top Fuel pilot Antron Brown becomes only the seventh driver in 20 years to sweep the Western Swing, joining the list of names such as Tony Schumacher, Larry Dixon, Cory McClenathan, Joe Amato, John Force and Greg Anderson.
