In her new role, Yanus will supervise SEMA's councils and networks, student programs and association recognition. These areas work to strengthen the association's member companies to help their businesses thrive in an ever-changing marketplace through education, networking and business development. David Speicher

David started his career post Purdue University (Computer and Electrical Engineering Technology, Polytechnic: Boiler up!) at Johnson Controls where he commissioned and validated building management software for pharmaceutical and biotech companies subject to new FDA regulations (CFR Title 21, Part 11) with projects in the US, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and Sao Paulo. David also worked at the Pentagon providing software solutions to meet post 9/11 security requirements.

That led David to Aspire. As the Chief Architect, with a knack for relational databases, he developed primary care and mental health software solutions for their Electronic Health Record. He automated the billing process from hours to seconds, incorporated dynamic decision support, and real-time feedback for providers with an automated physician E&M calculator.

In 2015, David was elevated to the executive team as CTO and brought in a culture of innovation, planned disruption, and video-first with a strategic vision for technology. He led Aspire to 100% modern architecture cloud services including agency wide multi-factor authentication, data loss prevention, advanced device management, and business continuity for over 20 locations. This led Aspire to a new level of efficiency and employee engagement with state-of-the-art mobile and collaboration tools. He was the driving force in transforming the organization into a national leader in the use of health information systems and technology including cloud, telehealth, and next-gen security.

In 2016 and again in 2020, David was named Indianapolis Business Journal’s CTO of the Year for non-profit organizations and has been a speaker at MHCA, Open Minds, INSPN keynote, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and Google RoadShow. David was also named one of Indianapolis’ Most Pivotal Leaders in 2020.

David, his wife, and two sons love hiking, and he recently climbed to a peak in Banff!
