PEOPLE

A Message From Paul “Scooter” Brothers

SEMA Chairman of the Board

   Paul “Scooter” Brothers

Welcome friends, family and extended family to the 46th consecutive SEMA Show.

It’s hard to believe, but here we are again in Las Vegas to showcase the work of our family members from the past year. The SEMA family consists of everyone on the Show floor and everyone back home that made all this possible. When you enter the Show you will see only a glimpse of the automotive specialty parts world, which is far larger than even the Show itself. However, the dedication, passion and vision of the entire SEMA family is plainly evident, concentrated into one week in Las Vegas. It’s a view of the future that we are proud to present.

The displays on the Show floor are not simply cool parts and pieces, but the visionary ideas exhibiting companies have brought to life during the past 12 months. The booths, the parts, the enthusiasm and the excitement you will experience on the Show floor are examples of the innovative capabilities of our industry. They are the culmination of the past year’s work and a glimpse into the future. The entire SEMA family is behind this deliberate charge into 2013, working to make sure the gas tank is full as we all compete to gain sales and customer loyalty in the year ahead.

As Chairman of the Board of SEMA, I am proud to say that the hard work and dedication of the Board of Directors, SEMA staff and everyone involved has made the last 12 months a success, even in tough times. The SEMA Board has set in place several new, cutting-edge programs for 2013, some with immediate goals, others based on a longer-term outlook that will keep SEMA viable as the years roll on. This vision and hard work has again positioned SEMA as the number-one association in the automotive world. SEMA members can be confident that their association leadership will continue to envision, and make available, the tools and services they will need to remain healthy long into the future.

Your passion for the industry makes the SEMA Show the center of the automotive world, and each and every one of you should be proud of what you are a part of. Thank you for attending the world’s greatest specialty-equipment trade show ever, and I hope you enjoy yourselves while you are in Las Vegas. I hope you all have a great year in 2013!

Cordially,

Paul “Scooter” Brothers
