	SEMA's next Town Hall Meeting will be held at Bestop Inc. in Broomfield, Colorado, Wednesday June 26, from 6:00 p.m.– 9:00 p.m.

SEMA invites industry professionals to the second stop of the 2013 Town Hall tour, where members and prospective members will gather at Bestop Inc. in Broomfield, Colorado, Wednesday, June 26, from 6:00 p.m.– 9:00 p.m. for an evening of networking with local industry leaders and SEMA staff.


SEMA's Town Hall Meetings provide members and prospective members with the opportunity to learn about the association's current programs and objectives while networking with automotive aftermarket professionals from the same geographic region. These personal interactions provide members the chance to share the business challenges and opportunities they face.

They also give SEMA staff valuable feedback that will help identify current benefits to enhance members' business operations and better meet their needs. SEMA has led Town Hall Meetings in several cities across the United States. We invite you to attend a Town Hall near you.

Legislation to provide for the prompt issuance of titles to owners of out-of-state motor vehicles that are 35 years old or older was approved by the North Carolina Senate with amendments. Under the amended bill, the Division of Motor Vehicles will have 15 days to consider performing an inspection and up to 15 days more to issue the title. The SEMA-supported bill has been sent to the House Transportation Committee for consideration.

SEMA-supported legislation to extend the new car emissions inspection exemption from four to seven model years has been approved by two Senate Committees and sent to the Senate floor. The bill recognizes that it is pointless to test newer vehicles, the results of which demonstrate no significant air-quality benefits. Under the bill, the state is also directed to adopt rules that allow for the use of on-board diagnostic testing equipment.

The bill has been referred to the House Transportation, Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee for consideration. The bill would protect the design contours of collector cars and relieve vehicle owners of the burden of having to create mounting holes on some fabricated and original bumpers.
