Brembo commissioned famed action sports designer Troy Lee Designs to paint one of the company’s all-new B-M6 brake calipers for the 2018 SEMA Show. The Troy Lee-painted B-M6 can be viewed in the Brembo booth #23261 in Central Hall.

In 2011, Lee designed the Flying Lizard Porsche Le Mans livery. The design celebrated the entry of its first-ever two-car lineup into the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The livery was applied to the #80 911 GT3 RSR that was driven in the GTE Pro class by Jörg Bergmeister, Patrick Long and Lucas Luhr and finished sixth in class. The blue-and-orange livery offers a subtle nod to the ’70 J.W. Automotive Gulf 917 Kurzhecks made famous by Steve McQueen’s Le Mans, while the scheme incorporates the names and national flags of all the drivers who have secured overall victories at Le Mans behind the wheel of a Porsche.

The Brembo B-M6 is a six-piston aluminum monobloc caliper designed for the front corners of sports coupes and sedans, high-performance SUVs and supercars that use either cast-iron or Brembo’s CCM-R carbon-ceramic discs. It accommodates brake discs up to 410x36mm. It is available in five colors: black, red, yellow, white and fluorescent yellow.

Flowmaster, Hurst and B&M brought three custom builds to the 2018 SEMA Show.

The first car is a 50th anniversary ’18 Hurst Hellcat wide-body Challenger by GSS Supercars featuring wide-body fender flares that emulate the similarly styled fenders on the original ’68 Hurst Olds. The second car is a custom-wrapped ’68 Camaro built by Cotati Speed Shop by Zane Cullen. The powerplant derives from the McClish Motor Sports Western USAC Championship 410 Sprint Car. The engine has been rebuilt by Gaerte Engines and set up for multi-use street and multiple track configurations.

The last vehicle is a Team MOTUL/OTSFF 6100 Trophy Class racing Best in the Desert Series built by Adam Fitza. This truck started life as an ’18 Ford Raptor and has competed and finished in all three Best in the Desert races. The truck weighs in at 5,130 lbs., and can roll a top speed of 102 mph.

Chevrolet presented six SEMA Design Awards at the 2018 SEMA Show, Wednesday, October 31. The Chevrolet Design Awards are annual recognitions of creative performance styling among feature vehicles at the SEMA Show.

Each year, the judges walk the entire Show floor in search of unique and innovative designs to honor. The 2018 picks showcase the rich diversity of the specialty-equipment market, representing the many niches within the industry.

Garrett Advancing Motion unveiled a Formula DRFIT-spec ’99 Nissan Silvia S15 built by Enjuku Racing for YouTube personality Adam LZ at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Garrett Advancing Motion unveiled a Formula DRFIT-spec ’99 Nissan Silvia S15 built by Enjuku Racing for YouTube personality Adam LZ at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

In the hands of Enjuku Racing, the once-neglected project car received a complete transformation, resulting in a Formula DRIFT competition-level car. To begin the transformation, the chassis was completely stitch welded and received a fully custom TIG-welded cage, along with a tubed front and rear end. Enhancing the vehicle’s exterior esthetic and aerodynamics is a Vertex Edge wide-body kit giving the car an additional 30mm in width overall. Completing the car’s exterior transformation is a Black Rose wrap.

LZ’s S15 is powered by a Toyota 2JZ-GTE stroked to 3.4L utilizing a Brian Crower stroker kit, with a custom Sleeper Designs billet aluminum intake manifold paired with an RMR throttle body, along with a DOCRace Turbo Manifold, connected to a Garrett GTX3584RS turbocharger. The vehicle is outfitted with a custom ER Spec 4-in. oval exhaust from the turbo back. Pumping E85 to the engine are two Deatschwerks DW300 fuel pumps along with Deatschwerks 1200cc injectors. The engine is managed by an ECUMASTER EMU Black and tuned by RS-Enthalpy in Tampa, Florida, and makes 915hp and 835 lb.-ft. of torque at the wheels.

Delivering the power of this engine to the tires is a Samsonas six-speed sequential transmission, coupled with a Winters Performance quick-change rear end. Keeping the S15 planted to the ground is a set of BC Racing BR Series 2-way coilovers, paired with Wisefab front-lock and rear suspension kits to provide tunability and steering angle at lock. To complete the car’s overall stance is a set of 18-in. SSR SP3s with a width of 9.5 in. in the front and 10.5 in. in the rear.
