 Dr. Diamandis
Dr. Peter H. Diamandis, chairman and CEO of the X PRIZE Foundation, will speak at the 2009 SEMA Show New Product Awards Breakfast.

Dr. Peter H. Diamandis, chairman and CEO of the X PRIZE Foundation, will speak at the 2009 SEMA Show New Product Awards Breakfast, Tuesday, November 3. Widely recognized as a leader in fostering innovation through competition, the X PRIZE Foundation began a revolution in private spaceflight with the $10 million Ansari X PRIZE.

Diamandis is focused on bringing about radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity by encouraging innovators to solve some of the greatest challenges facing the world today. Among the Foundation’s current projects is the Progressive Automotive X PRIZE, a multi-million dollar prize to create clean, safe and fuel-efficient vehicles.

Immediately preceding the official Show opening, the New Product Awards Breakfast announces the best new products of the Show for the first time.

Winning products are identified from the New Products Showcase. Open to all exhibitors, the New Products Showcase is a program that allows exhibitors to increase exposure for their products. In addition to being considered for an award, submissions are displayed in a centralized location so that buyers can view thousands of the newest products without having to walk through 2-million-square feet of exhibits and attractions.

Buyers visiting the New Products Showcase are also able to have details and images of selected products e-mailed directly to them. Additionally, photos—and for the first time, video—of all new products are accessible to global media members.

Tickets to the New Product Awards Breakfast are free, but first-come, first-served. Space is limited. Place orders using the special event ticket order form at www.semashow.com/specialevents.

Exhibitors interested in entering a new product for award consideration can use the online form at www.semashow.com/newproducts.
