 SEMA Emerging Leaders Conference Launches
The SEMA Emerging Leaders Conference can help transform promising employees into the best leaders and managers they can be.

Is there an up-and-comer in your organization ready to get to the next level—with a little bit of a nudge?

The SEMA Emerging Leaders Conference might be just the push you can give your promising employees to turn them into the type of leaders and managers you believe they can be.

SEMA is now accepting nominations for candidates to attend the inaugural Emerging Leaders Conference, 1:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the day before the opening of the 2015 SEMA Show.

Since all participants must be nominated, this is the chance to give your “emerging leaders” the skills they need to think strategically about their careers and the future of your company; a greater understanding of how to leverage their own strengths as leaders; and the chance to meet and network with others just like themselves.

“Employee retention, job satisfaction and succession planning are three areas of business that SEMA members talk about a lot,” said Zane Clark, SEMA’s director of education. “At the same time, there is much research indicating that training increases productivity, improves morale and creates loyalty. The Emerging Leaders Conference is a great way to reward an exceptional employee, by investing in their professional development.”

Along with insights into leadership strategy, concepts and styles from some of the most stimulating and thought-provoking speakers at the SEMA Show, participants will have the opportunity to take the DiSC personal assessment tool before the conference. Then, communications expert Maria Grande will guide them through the assessment as they learn the four behavioral styles of leaders, identify which one they are and use that information to develop and leverage their own strengths.

Accompanying the assessment session will be a presentation by songwriter and professional speaker Dave Carroll and International Thought Leader Network President Greg Kaiser, who will take participants through the “5 Stories Every Leader Must Know” to assure the success of any high-performing organization. Scott Ginsberg will talk about what is required to be “The Approachable Leader.”

To nominate the up-and-coming professionals in your organization who have between three and five years’ experience in the industry, go to the Emerging Leader Conference website. Cost of the conference (which does not include SEMA Show registration) is $75 for SEMA members and $125 for non-members. Cost includes the conference program, DiSC personal assessment, certificate of completion and the opportunity to network with fellow participants and industry leaders.

Space is limited. Register now.
