The following candidates are vying for a seat on the SEMA Board of Directors:

Distributors/Retailers (one open seat):

  • John Evankovich – Director, Sam’s Club
  • Ted Wentz III – CEO, Quadratec, Inc.

Voting will take place online between May 12–May 26, and is open to current SEMA-member companies. Votes must be cast by each company’s primary contact. Details on the upcoming election will be sent to the member company’s designated primary contact beginning April 30. Winners will be announced by May 29 and formally inducted into the SEMA Board of Directors at the SEMA Installation & Gala,  July 24, 2020.

Customer Service Specialist
Energy Suspension is hiring a customer service specialist to provide customer service, automotive product application information, technical assistance, order processing and respond to emails. Occasional travel to local trade shows and events is required. Candidates must have basic automotive knowledge and prior customer service experience.

Marketing Associate
AMS Performance is hiring a marketing associate to be the point person in identifying, creating and delivering relevant content to current and future customers for a diverse range of automotive applications. In a recent survey conducted by SEMA, nearly 90% responded that they are “impacted short-term, but will get through it” or are “business as usual.”

The economic picture has weakened over the past month. However, the long-term effects of the situation remain unclear. Economists are debating the financial impact of the Coronavirus on the world's economy, but growth in the fourth quarter, while uncertain, is likely to be robust.

The final two weeks of March brought an unprecedented jump in unemployment numbers, with most of the job losses related to forced government closures and an extreme decline in travel. Consumers are worried by uncertainty about the future and the potential impact of the coronavirus, which is affecting spending for the short-term.

With that said, most companies within the specialty-equipment industry maintain a positive outlook. In a recent survey conducted by SEMA, nearly 90% responded that they are “impacted short-term, but will get through it” or are “business as usual.” Bottom line, the specialty-equipment industry is open for business.
