  Camaro 2010 SEMA Show

The SEMA Show features thousands of project vehicles each year that represent the ingenuity and creativity of the specialty-equipment market. SEMA Show exhibitors can generate more product exposure by offering products to builders through the SEMA Show Products for Project-Vehicle Builders list. The list is a simple way to connect exhibitors who want to get more eyes on their products at the Show with builders designing the vehicles that attract attention from thousands of buyers and members of the media.

Each week in SEMA eNews, the latest additions will be included in the list, and hundreds of builders will access the list to find the pieces they need to complete their builds. Product-placement opportunities such as this are so beneficial that exhibitors often offer products for free or at a greatly reduced rate. Note: The list is reserved for exhibitors of the 2011 SEMA Show.

To place your product on the list, send your company name, a brief product description, contact information and a website where the products can be viewed to eNews@sema.org and put “Product List” in the e-mail subject line. Pre-show publications, including the SEMA Show Daily, provide the ideal opportunity for exhibitors to submit press releases about new products, project vehicles and special events and activities.

Getting the spotlight focused on your company at the SEMA Show comes down to three words—promotion, promotion, promotion.

Promotion is sometimes overlooked in pre-Show planning because the emphasis is on developing new products, building project vehicles and finishing booth displays. However, once the doors to the SEMA Show open, companies that invest in promotion typically experience increases in traffic, which translate into more leads and more connections with key decision makers. By using promotional tools—many of which are free—businesses can stand out from their competitors and achieve a higher profile at the Show.

One way to generate buzz for your new products and services is by submitting press releases to SEMA's pre-Show publications. The association produces a weekly SEMA eNews newsletter, a monthly SEMA News magazine and the SEMA Show Daily, which includes three issues produced on-site in Las Vegas. Generating excitement and exposure for new-product launches, project-vehicle premieres and special events held in conjunction with the 2011 SEMA Show can have a massive impact on your overall SEMA Show success.

In addition to sending press releases to the appropriate publications, paid advertising and sponsorship packages can further elevate your company's profile at the Show, generating both traffic to your booth and getting buyers focused on your products. There are packages and programs designed to fit every budget, including advertising in the Show Directory and Pocket Guide. For complete details, including special discounts, contact Joe Sebergandio at Motor Media, 818/248-4449 or e-mail Joe at sales@motormediainc.com.

For companies interested in taking advantage of editorial opportunities in pre-Show publications, here's a breakdown of key contacts associated with the different pre-Show Publications, as well as a list of editorial topics typically covered in each of the publications.

SEMA eNews
Jason Catullo, jasonc@sema.org

Topics:
-Exhibiting companies offering products for SEMA Show project-vehicle builds can have their products added to an ongoing list of available gear. Here's a look at this week's list. If you want to be included in next week's update, simply e-mail eNews@sema.org.

-Companies offering special incentives or other Show-related promotional opportunities can submit a brief description of the offer, along with corresponding contact information, including e-mail, website and the company's 2011 SEMA Show booth number.

SEMA News
Steve Campbell, stevec@sema.org
Carr Winn, carrw@sema.org

Topics:
-In the October issue of SEMA News, the magazine will focus on new products making their grand debut at the 2011 SEMA Show. To be included, simply e-mail Carr Winn a brief description of the product and include a high-resolution image in either tif, eps or jpeg format. The deadline to send materials for consideration is August 8, 2011. Please review the following PDF of last year's new product sneak peek for word count and image guidelines.

-In the November issue of SEMA News, there will be a special feature dedicated to project vehicles heading to the Las Vegas Convention Center for this year's Show. To be included, please e-mail Steve Campbell a detailed description of your current project vehicle, along with photos and/or renderings of the buildup. For this article, entries must be received by September 6, 2011. For reference, here's a PDF of last year's project vehicle coverage. Please take a moment to review the PDF, so that you can use the same format when completing your entry. Keep in mind that all vehicle modifications must be organized by category and that the most important detail in each submission is the contact information. This data is critical for our editorial team to contact you regarding your submission and for readers to use as a reference during the SEMA Show.

SEMA Show Daily
Carr Winn, carrw@sema.org

Topics:
-There are four issues of the annual SEMA Show Daily and the first installment will hit mailboxes several weeks prior to the Show. This is an ideal opportunity to feature news releases about new products, project vehicles and special events and activities. To be considered for this first issue of the Show Daily, your submission must be received by August 12, 2011. If you can't meet the early deadline, there are still three more issues and material for those can be accepted up until October 7, 2011. Please e-mail material directly to Carr, including high-resolution images in tiff, eps or jpeg format.

Submission Policy: All submissions will be featured in pre-Show publications based on the order in which they were received on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that the publications department receives more submissions than it can accommodate, the unpublished items will be placed on a waiting list and then included when and if additional space becomes available.

For companies interested in taking advantage of editorial opportunities in pre-Show publications, here's a breakdown of key contacts associated with the different pre-Show Publications, as well as a list of editorial topics typically covered in each of the publications.

hotels
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in the SEMA block offers a nightly rate of only $159 for this all-suite hotel.
Always striving to provide those coming to the SEMA Show with the lowest hotel rates and smoothest travel possible, SEMA is pleased to have Travel Planners as its official housing partner for the upcoming 2011 SEMA Show. You can book your housing now by reaching the housing/lodging page on www.SEMAShow.com.

While many companies say they offer the best rates possible, booking directly through SEMA’s housing bureau ensures that you not only receive a rate guarantee—which will always be better than what the hotel can offer you directly—but Travel Planners also will provide you with customer service throughout the year and even upon your arrival in Las Vegas. If you have any issues upon your arrival in Las Vegas, booking through Travel Planners guarantees you on-site personal assistance. And, If you book through Travel Planners and the rates go down, you'll get the new, cheaper rate.

For exhibitors and large groups, Travel Planners provides an easy-to-use site where rooming lists and itinerary changes can be handled with just the click of a button. Everything can be done online by you. If the online process frightens you, customer service specialists are waiting to assist you with group reservations.

SEMA has locked in incredible rates yet again and has been able to waive the resort fees, which more and more Las Vegas properties are adopting, some as much as $20 per night. Book through the official housing block and you won’t have to pay them, with the exception of the Signature at MGM Grand, which has always had a resort fee with its additional services that are not provided to other MGM Grand guests.

If you have any questions regarding housing for the upcoming SEMA Show, please don’t hesitate to contact the Travel Planners at 800/221-3531 or 212/532-1660.

Please note: Travel Planners is the only official housing bureau associated with the 2011 SEMA Show. Only the official housing bureau has the seal you see on this page. No other travel company is endorsed or affiliated by SEMA and, in fact, many have created unscrupulous tactics that will cost you money in the long run. Entering into financial agreements with such companies can have costly consequences and they will not be around when you arrive in Las Vegas for the Show.
