The shooters at KGP Photography have provided the first physical evidence proving that Nissan is actively working on a new Titan pickup, thanks to this mule caught testing in the Rockies. The fullsize truck is heavily modified from the A-pillar forward, camouflaged to hide a larger grille and thoroughly changed front bumper compared to the current Titan. The mule also has its headlights set high and very wide, forcing large protrusions on the front fascia, suggesting increased width over the current truck.

Sources say that Nissan's cancelled cooperation with Dodge—which would have resulted in a RAM-based, next-generation Titan—means that the next Titan will use an updated version of the Titan's existing architecture. The truck's styling, however, will stick to the design that was frozen while the RAM/Titan program was still a go, with some minor changes for compatibility reasons. Elements of that new styling are likely in place on the disguised front fascia of this test mule to bring the most accurate testing data to Nissan engineers.

The ’15 Titan is expected to offer a Cummins 2.8L diesel engine to increase fuel-economy, aided by a thorough weight reduction. A regular cab Titan will also be offered, along with a greater focus on work trucks.

The deadline to submit nominations for the SEMA Person of the Year, SEMA Rep Agency of the Year and the SEMA WD of the Year awards is July 8. Please take a moment to review the SEMA Awards website, which lists the criteria established for each award, as well as a listing of previous honorees for each award. To make a nomination now, visit the SEMA Awards website and click on the red nominate bar next to the corresponding award.

Person of the Year: Created in 1969, SEMA's Person of the Year Award recognizes individuals for their distinguished service to the trade association and the specialty-equipment industry.

Rep Agency of the Year: The SEMA Rep Agency of the Year Award honors a manufacturer's rep agency for its contribution to the industry for the past 12 months (corresponding with the SEMA fiscal year, July 1–June 30). Criteria for the award includes product-line knowledge, communication of critical information between supplier and the client network, updated catalogs, databases and price sheets, and maintenance of continuous training and education programs.

WD of the Year: The award was established to honor a warehouse distributor for outstanding contribution to the automotive specialty-equipment industry during the past 12 months corresponding with SEMA's fiscal year.

All three of the prestigious SEMA industry awards are presented during the Industry Awards Banquet in front of thousands of specialty-equipment leaders and professionals at the SEMA Show.
