The Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN) is scheduled to host its Motorsports & Performance Tech Roundtables, Friday, December 8, at the PRI Trade Show in Indianapolis, where subject-matter experts will host discussions on their areas of expertise. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the experts, ask questions and participate in discussions, which will focus on the following topics:

  • How to gain performance and drivability with electronically spooled/assisted turbocharging technology.
  • How to run higher compression ratios using direct-injection technology.
  • Trends in rapid prototyping and R&D tools to enhance engine/vehicle development and performance.
  • How advanced simulation tools, such as GT Power and 3D CFD, can accelerate the engine-development process.

This year, the SEMA Board of Directors has openings for two seats in the Manufacturers category, two seats in the Distributors/Retailers category and one seat in the Services category.

The following is a message from SEMA President and CEO Chris Kersting:

As a member of the association, your recommendation is needed for industry leaders to serve on the SEMA Board of Directors. Our industry has many individuals who would be an asset to the SEMA Board, but oftentimes those individuals aren’t immediately apparent to the Nominating Committee when selecting the final candidates.

Please take a moment to tell us about whom you would recommend as a potential nominee for a board member position. We also ask that you include information to help the Nominating Committee know more about the nominee’s qualifications, such as background, experience and achievements from a leadership standpoint.

For this year’s election, the following seats are open:

  • Two seats in the Manufacturers category
  • Two seats in the Distributors/Retailers category
  • One seat in the Services category

Nominations for the 2018 SEMA Board of Directors are due Thursday, January 4, 2018. Please complete and submit the nomination form, and be sure to include the qualification information noted above.

Accounting Manager: Rightline Gear is hiring an accounting manager to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation and sales-tax duties. This position is also involved in inventory activities, such as receiving finished goods, evaluating cycle counts and making month-end journal entries. The accounting manager will be in charge of the company’s internal financial reporting, involved in key decision making and lead a monthly financial analysis meeting. The accounting manager must be able to skillfully negotiate, lead others and possess a respectful assertiveness in order to achieve success in their duties. A bachelor’s degree and five years’ related experience are required.

Corporate Controller: McLeod Racing is hiring a corporate controller who will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for all aspects of McLeod’s accounting functions, including full-charge general ledger accounting/reconciliations, inventory costing and controls, financial reporting, tax-compliance reporting, cash-flow management, establishment of and adherence to accounting policies and procedures, coordination of tax returns, and outside financial reporting with accounting and other professional firms. This position will also be responsible for hiring, recruiting and training additional accounting personnel.
