Speakers with experience in marketing and sales, customer service, business management, automotive trends, social media and vehicle customization are encouraged to submit an application to host a seminar during the 2018 SEMA Show.

SEMA Show Education is now accepting applications for industry professionals interested in hosting a seminar during the 2018 SEMA Show. Of particular interest to the industry are speakers with experience in marketing and sales, customer service, business management, automotive trends, social media, and vehicle customization.

The educational seminars make up an essential component of the SEMA Show. In addition to connecting automotive manufacturers with professional buyers from all over the world, the four-day SEMA Show is the leading venue for industry experts to network in person and learn new business strategies.

The 2017 SEMA Show education program featured more than 60 sessions. While topics address basic business practices, such as customer service, marketing and social media, the 2018 program will emphasize issues that are of greatest concern to businesses in the automotive aftermarket.

All speakers should be able to focus on industry issues and not a specific company position or agenda.

Applications for speaker submissions are available until Monday, February 12, 2018. Speaker entries will be answered no later than April 20, 2018. For more details, contact Zane Clark at zanec@sema.org, 909-978-6743.

Sales and Marketing Representative: R&R Marketing Consultants Inc. is hiring a sales and marketing representative to help champion its brands throughout distribution in the south-central territory, which includes Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Responsibilities include positioning products, identifying new sales opportunities and providing the highest level of service to clients and their customers. Candidates will be able to execute at the tactical level in the field. The position is home-based with extensive travel (70%–75%). A bachelor’s degree or 5–10 years of industry experience is required.

Senior Calibration Engineer: Derive Systems is hiring a senior calibration engineer responsible for managing specific projects from design to completion, working closely with product leads and engineering management. This position will research and develop new calibration methodologies across multiple vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate will clearly deliver proven calibrations to the team, effectively communicate progress to stakeholders and identify areas for improvement. A high-school diploma and eight years of vehicle calibration or similar automotive experience, an associates degree and six years of vehicle calibration or similar automotive experience or a bachelors degree in technical discipline and more than four years of vehicle calibration experience are required.

Technician/Mechanic: Franjo Speed LLC is hiring a technician/mechanic to replace/upgrade auto manufacturer components with aftermarket performance parts and systems, such as intake/exhaust systems, wheels/tires, suspension components, brakes, power adders, appearance products and more. The successful candidate will have experience with aftermarket parts installation, adaptation, and customization; engine, suspension, brakes, exhaust modifications; and wheels/tires mounting/balancing. Both EFI and carburetor experience are preferred.

Car Builder: Outlaw Kustoms Inc. is hiring an experienced car builder responsible for disassembly and assembly of vehicles from scratch, test and tune, overall fitment of body panels/trim and organizing and setting up timelines on complete builds. Candidates must be experienced in the custom car/hotrod industry (pre-’72). Attention to detail, fit and finish is a must.

Mechanic/Fabricator: Cinema Vehicle Services LLC is hiring a mechanic/fabricator with great mechanical skills and a history of automotive experience. Duties include performing custom fabrication utilizing the latest in machinery and technology; MIG, TIG and ARC welding; tube bending and custom tubular frame fabrication; and custom suspension fabrication. Experience in full restorations is a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record and be able to drive both manual and automatic. A bachelor’s degree and Spanish fluency are pluses.
