As the SEMA Show concludes on Friday, November 4, iconic cars and trucks will emerge from the Las Vegas Convention Center and make their way to the West Hall Parking Lot for SEMA Ignited—the official SEMA Show after-party—where enthusiasts will see some of the hottest custom vehicles in the world that debuted earlier in the week.

General admission tickets allow access into SEMA Ignited and are available at www.SEMAIgnited.com. Enthusiasts can purchase upgraded tickets for reserved seating to watch the SEMA Cruise and performances from Formula DRIFT and the Urias Globe of Death—daredevil motorcycle riders who perform jaw-dropping stunts in a mesh sphere ball. A limited number of Friday Experience packages are available for general admission into SEMA Ignited, as well as entrance into the SEMA Show on Friday, November 4, and come with a one-year SEMA Individual Membership. The SEMA Friday Experience ticket price is $70 if purchased by October 28, after which, it will increase to $100.

“The SEMA Ignited Friday Experience is a rare opportunity for gearheads to experience the trade-only SEMA Show, and engage with the industry as SEMA Individual Members,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA vice president of events. “Through the Friday Experience, enthusiasts will get a behind-the-scenes look at what industry professionals are doing at the SEMA Show and witness the trends as they are happening.”

Now in its eighth year, SEMA Ignited is a combination of a car show, parade, music, food, entertainment and exhibitions all rolled into what becomes the ultimate automotive celebration. It’s where consumers see, hear and, in some cases, get up close and connect with award-winning vehicles and their owners. With more vendors and exhibitors than ever before, the 2022 SEMA Ignited is where enthusiasts will be able to discover the newest trends, learn about new products, meet industry celebrities and experience the excitement of the growing aftermarket.

All SEMA Showgoers will be able to attend SEMA Ignited with their Show credentials. For more information about SEMA Ignited, visit www.SEMAIgnited.com. To learn more about the SEMA Show, visit www.SEMAShow.com.

HotelsPart of the SEMA Show planning process is securing a hotel that will fit your needs. Location, low price, amenities and ratings are all factors in determining the right place to stay for November.

To make the process quick and affordable, the SEMA Show Block website lists all the hotels available, the prices, distance from Show and more. Hotels booked in the Block are backed by a low-price guarantee. To ensure that your price remains the lowest, SEMA will price-match lower advertised rates, even after your reservations are set.

There are more than 45 properties to choose from in the Show Block. As an added benefit, SEMA provides shuttle service to and from the Show for hotels that are not within walking distance to the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The 2022 SEMA Show takes place November 1–4, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. To see the current floorplan, visit www.SEMAShow.com.

The Electric Truck: Tap Into New Opportunities

EVs have come a long way from the first commuter cars popular among early adopters. From the Ford F-150 Lightning and GMC Hummer EV to the Rivian 1T, improvements in battery technology have spawned the release of electric trucks. Join a panel of experts as they dive into what this means to the aftermarket and the opportunities to meet consumer demands for customizing these exciting new vehicles.

EV Powertrains for Classic Cars

Consumers are becoming more and more accustomed to the quiet and clean experience of driving an electric car, not to mention the performance. Some of these consumers are interested in the same experience when driving their classic. Our panel of experts will discuss the intricacies of converting a classic automobile to electric power.

Feasibility of Widespread EV Adoption and the True Environmental Benefits

We keep hearing that EVs are “zero emissions,” and seeing more legislative mandates for a transition to electric vehicles. What isn’t widely discussed is the true lifecycle environmental impact of the EV versus a gas-powered car, and the readiness of U.S. infrastructure to support widespread adoption of EVs. This session will explore the feasibility of every household charging two cars every day, and what the true environmental impact of that is, if attainable.

The Future of the Aftermarket in an Electrified World, Powered by ETTN

What will come of the aftermarket industry if all or most of the new vehicles sold are electric powered? For some innovative aftermarket companies, the future is now. This panel of innovators will discuss the robust aftermarket for EVs, including suspension mods, accessories and, yes, even horsepower upgrades.

The Future of ICE: Hedging Your Bet With Investment in EVs

Have you run a die-hard internal combustion engine-(ICE)-centric business for years? Are you concerned for the future? With four legends set to take the stage and a must-see topic for any racing fan, the NHRA Breakfast is set to return to the SEMA Show, Wednesday, November 2, from 7:30 a.m.–9:00 a.m., at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino Paradise Events Center.

The popular NHRA Breakfast, which has been a staple of the SEMA Show for more than 20 years, will feature NHRA legends Don Prudhomme, Richard Tharp, Lee Beard and Frank Hawley coming together to discuss a thrilling topic: “Bent Rules, Bailed Fists and Drag Strip Battles.”

NHRA Breakfast

This year’s NHRA Breakfast will feature NHRA legends Don Prudhomme, Richard Tharp, Lee Beard and Frank Hawley coming together to discuss a thrilling topic: “Bent Rules, Bailed Fists and Drag Strip Battles.”

For the fourth time, NHRA on FOX announcer Brian Lohnes will serve as the panel moderator for what should be a memorable show, asking probing questions about some of the most amazing battles in NHRA history, and what it took for each legend to succeed. Those in attendance are sure to hear incredible, never-been-told stories from the four legendary competitors in a fun and festive setting at the NHRA Breakfast.

“The SEMA breakfast is one of the highlights of my year. With more than 1,000 NHRA fans jammed into the room at SEMA, the fun always flies,” Lohnes said. “The fact we have Don Prudhomme, Richard Tharp, Lee Beard and Frank Hawley on the stage to tell stories of battling on the track, battling in the pits, bending the rules and bending the law means that this may well be the best one yet!”

Don “The Snake” Prudhomme is a championship-winning driver and team owner and is regarded as a true icon in the sport, while Tharp was one of the sport’s most colorful figures while he won races and championships. Beard’s magnificent career as a crew chief spanned more than three decades, as he racked up 50-plus victories and world championships, and Hawley was a top-tier driver and one of the great minds in the sport as well, racing to a pair of world championships and multiple race wins.

In addition to the exciting topic, the popular trivia questions at the end of the show will continue with NHRA prize packs, which will include tickets to the upcoming Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

The four legends will also appear at the NHRA Booth (#10000) at the SEMA Show for an autograph signing Wednesday, November 2, at 10:00 a.m.

The NHRA Breakfast is open to all registered SEMA Show attendees at no cost; however, tickets are required. A continental breakfast will be served. To order your event ticket or register for the show, visit www.SEMAShow.com/register and click “Add Event Tickets.”

RPM ActThe 2022 mid-term election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, and it’s important to know which candidates support racing when going to the polls or voting early. With the balance of power in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate up for grabs this fall, the racing community has a chance to shape the outcome of this election.

When casting your vote, it’s important that you consider which lawmakers have stood up for the interests of racers and motorsports-parts businesses by supporting the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act (RPM Act), H.R. 3281 and S. 2736, which guarantees the right to modify street cars, trucks and motorcycles into dedicated race vehicles and safeguards the industry’s right to offer parts that enable racers to compete.

Visit SEMA’s vote racing page for information on voting in the mid-term election, including absentee and early voting, and identifying your lawmakers and the candidates running in 2022. SEMA’s Vote Racing page also includes a list of the lawmakers who have publicly supported the RPM Act and are up for re-election this fall.
