This is the revised Ram 4500 HD Chassis Cab.
The basis for tow trucks and other heavy hauling trucks, the Ram 4500 will get some cosmetic upgrades to fall in line with the latest Ram trucks.
Unlike the ’17 Power Wagon Heavy Duty trucks, the 4500 looks likely to get more of the changes made to the 1500s over the years, rather than the more aggressive Rebel. Still, the wheel arches and grille are more aggressive than in recent years. An updated interior that mimics changes to the 1500 last year is also likely.
Expect to see the Ram 4500s early in 2017.

Educators leading the charge in promoting the automotive aftermarket may qualify for the first-ever SEMA-NACAT Education Foundation Award, which includes a prize admission to the 2016 SEMA Show and the 2017 NACAT Conference. Presented to three finalists, the award recognizes and supports top instructors who develop exemplary aftermarket curriculum, inspire student involvement and elevate the quality of future industry professionals.
“Too often these boots-on-the ground champions go unrecognized, but every day, every class, they are shaping the next generation of automotive enthusiasts and employees,” SEMA Chairman of the Board Doug Evans said in reference to instructors who foster the professional development of promising new aftermarket students.
The SEMA-NACAT Education Foundation Award is open to automotive/diesel/collision instructors who work at a high school, post-secondary or training center in the United States or Canada. Applicants must fill out an online form and submit a video showcasing the use of aftermarket products in the classroom, aftermarket curriculum development, instructional standards and student progress tracking, student community involvement and the passions that students bring to the program.
Applications are due by August 15, 2016. The top three applicants, who will be announced by September 1, 2016, will receive hotel and airfare to attend the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, with the top applicant also receiving free registration to the NACAT Conference in 2017.
