Tanner Foust Grabs Victory in Seattle for Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross Team
Tanner Foust regained the championship momentum and points lead in Seattle, claiming victory in Red Bull Global Rallycross’s first visit to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. Foust’s teammate, Scott Speed, bounced back from on-track difficulties in his semifinal to earn a fourth-place finish, keeping the points race tight between the two Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross drivers heading into the final races of the season in Los Angeles. Both Foust and Speed maintain a large gap over their championship rivals before the final races of the season in Los Angeles. Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross’ seventh victory of the season also provisionally clinches the Manufacturer’s Championship for the marque. Despite competing with only two cars, the brand has taken the top spot in more than three-quarters of the races this season, marking a record-breaking run of form for the team. Foust extended his unbroken string of Heat and Semifinal victories in Seattle, bringing the total number of victories to 25 last weekend.

NMRA Announces New Outlaw True Street Shootout
NMRA officials have announced that the ididit Outlaw True Street Shootout is coming to the Nitto Tire NMRA All-Ford World Finals in Bowling Green, Kentucky, October 1. Running exclusively during the NMRA Grudge Night and sponsored by ididit, the Outlaw True Street Shootout will be a stand-alone event in addition to the grudge match-ups. The concept will bring out some of the quickest street Fords with all types of power plants, including LS-powered Mustangs. If they're legal under the Grudge Night rules, they can run in the Outlaw True Street Shootout. Any Ford body or Ford-powered race car can jump into the action and must roll on a pair of 275/28x10.5-wide DOT tires. Like QA1 True Street racers, ididit Outlaw True Street Shootout competitors will perform a 30-mile cruise on the street to prove they are legit street rides. Once back at the track, all shootout competitors will draw names from a hat for elimination-round pairings. The format is 1/8-mile and no time will be in effect, although competitors will get their half of the time slip. The rear suspension rules are stock-style setups or ladder bars, while the front requires the typical bolt-in-style K-members and a stock firewall.
