After enjoying a day of event activities and attractions, cap off the night with industry friends at Hangar 24 Craft Brewery with free beverage tastings and snacks.

This is a free regional event that will take place at the Orange County Fairgrounds, Saturday, September 16, after the close of the Sand Sport Super Show. YEN and TORA will be gathered in front of the main stage at Hangar 24, from 7:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. TORA and YEN members who RSVP by September 13 will receive one general admission ticket to the Sand Sport Super Show for Saturday. MPMC members who are selected to exhibit at the 2018 event are encouraged to bring their newest lines and the products they want to highlight in the year to come.

Applications are open for the 2018 Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC) Media Trade Conference, to be held January 24–26, at the Embassy Suites Orange County Airport North in Santa Ana, California. Only 100 exhibitor spots are available, and participants will be chosen using a random-number lottery system. Manufacturers who submitted an application but were not selected for the 2017 event are automatically guaranteed a spot in the 2018 event if they submit a new application by the September 5, 2017, deadline. Exhibitor selection is available only for MPMC-member companies.

MPMC members who are selected to exhibit at the 2018 event are encouraged to bring their newest lines and the products they want to highlight in the year to come. Throughout the three-day event, exhibitors will have private, face-to-face, 30-minute meetings with motorsports editors, journalists and influencers.

This unique event serves as a platform to meet and collaborate with some of the top media companies and publications in the motorsports segment. Exhibitors walk away from the event confident in the coverage their products will receive as a result of their meetings. Candidates must have several years of experience in the automotive field in the following areas: brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, heating/cooling systems, engine light diagnostics, engine performance and air conditioning. A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.

Outside Sales Representative: Bob Cook Sales is hiring an outside sales representative responsible for attempting to turn prospects into customers; expanding the company’s market presence; attending regional and national trade shows; and planning and creating on-site presentations, seminars and education that promote the company’s manufacturer clients. The successful candidate will have basic knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must be willing to make regular overnight travel in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas.

Jobber Specialist: TruXedo is hiring a jobber specialist responsible for visiting jobber/dealer accounts and attending trade shows. Primary responsibilities include ownership of dealer relationships through strong communication and support skills within offering products. This position will require up to 75% travel depending on business needs, including some weekends and trade shows. A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in dealership, customer or client relationship management.

Vehicle Personalization Expert: Insignia Group is hiring a vehicle personalization expert who is familiar with the automotive industry and wants to travel to auto dealerships throughout Georgia. Responsibilities include performing trainings and coaching sessions with contracted dealers and growing their accessory sales through best practices, prospecting and closing opportunities to develop vehicle personalization profit centers within dealerships, and developing strong business relationships with dealerships, distributors, manufacturers and restylers. Candidates should have at least two years of sales experience working in or selling to dealerships.

Diesel Mechanic/Installation Technician: Gale Banks Engineering is hiring a diesel mechanic/installation technician responsible for installing exhaust, electronic and braking systems for gas and diesel trucks and motorhomes; sizing, cutting, dismantling and installing automotive exhaust systems on customer vehicles in accordance with work orders and installation schedules; completing installations ensuring quality standards and safety policies are being followed; and performing QA testing and inspection, conducting test drives and recording results after installation is complete. The successful candidate will have more than three years’ experience as an automotive and light-truck mechanic. ASE, automotive technology degree or comparable certification is preferred.
