An Assembly Joint Resolution (AJR 79) has been introduced in Wisconsin to annually designate the second Friday in July as Collector Vehicle Appreciation Day in the state. Six years ago, in an effort to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society, SEMA announced the second Friday in July as an annual commemoration of collector vehicles. 

The next Collector Car Appreciation Day will be celebrated July 8, 2016. As it has in years past, SEMA is again working to secure a U.S. Senate resolution to recognize the day’s significance. In the previous six years, thousands of Americans have gathered at car cruises, parades and other events to celebrate our nation’s automotive heritage. By taking part in these events around the country, these automotive enthusiasts and related businesses have ensured that their passion was honored and recognized.

Patrick Clark Gets One Final Win in the Closing Round of LOORS

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORS) season wrapped up in Lake Elsinore, California, October 25. Patrick Clark, in his #25 Budweiser/BFGoodrich Tires PRO 2, beat Rob MacCachren, crossing the last checkered flag of the season as a winner of the final PRO 2 race of the season. Clark rounded out his year by getting nominated by the Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame as a "Rising Star" in the Short Course category.

Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series 2016 Schedule Announced

Home of the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals drag-racing series and the “World's Fastest Street Cars,” ProMedia Events has announced the 2016 schedule for the Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series. This all-GM series features purpose-built race cars and street-legal cars equipped with Chevrolet LS and modern LT powerplants, such as 5th-Gen Camaros, C5 Corvettes, Z28 Camaros, late-model Firebirds and GTOs. The Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series will run at the following events in 2016. Each event features classes for all levels of participants including Drag Radial, Real Street, Chevrolet Performance Stock, Street King, Rumble and True Street:
