Nancy Friedman
Information calls? Well not quite. But you will get customer service information you will be able to use immediately and forever. Nancy Friedman—the Telephone Doctor and a favorite SEMA conference speaker—brings you the "Eight Killer Words in Just 20 Minutes"—don’t worry, there will be plenty of time for questions.

Some words are conversation distractions. They can confuse, annoy and stop a conversation. When that happens it can be difficult to get back on track. Plan on attending Friedman’s webinar as she runs through the words that can kill the deal. You’ll wish you'd had the alternative words sooner—you’d have saved a lot of sales. Don't miss this appointment to hear from the Telephone Doctor.

Register Today! Participate live or download the webinar when it’s convenient. And remember: SEMA webinars are free to SEMA members and only $29 for non-members.

For more information contact Juliet Marshall at 909-978-6655.

A six-time SEMA speaker, Nancy Friedman returns to us once again to entertain, engage, excite, educate and motivate our audiences. Born and raised in Chicago, she and her family now live in St. Louis, where they run Telephone Doctor Customer Service Training. She is a much sought-after conference and corporate meeting speaker on sales and customer service and author of eight books on sales and customer service. She, along with her son and husband David and Dick, offer seven divisions of Telephone Doctor to help companies communicate better with their customers. Her high energy and humorous presentation is a highlight at all meetings, and SEMA members keep asking for her to come back. Friedman can be reached at 314-291-1012 or at the Telephone Doctor website, www.telephonedoctor.com.

conference
The Product Development Expo, fueled by the SEMA Garage, will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014, at SEMA headquarters in Diamond Bar, California.

For years, we’ve heard stories about self-driving vehicles and connected cars. Those stories are today’s reality. Today’s car dashboard operates much like a laptop, and automakers are already integrating technology with cell-phone apps.

How will your auto accessories be incorporated into future vehicles? What are the design implications and how can you continue to manufacture products cost-effectively?

Get answers during the SEMA Product Development Expo, a one-day conference just for product developers, designers and engineers. Taking place April 10, 2014, in Diamond Bar, California, the event includes a keynote address by Stewart Reed, chairman of Transportation Design at the world-renown Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

The agenda also includes presentations by Danny Shapiro of NVIDA, Jake Sigal of Livio, Todd Peterson of MSD Performance and John Ellis of Ford.

Registration, which includes lunch and an evening mixer, is $47 for SEMA members; $97 for non-SEMA members. Space is limited. Details: www.sema.org/product-development.

Legislation requiring a vehicle emissions inspection facility, at the request of the owner of a vehicle that has failed an on-board diagnostics test, to immediately conduct an exhaust emissions test of the vehicle at no cost to the owner was not approved by the House Environmental Matters Committee.

Legislation requiring a vehicle emissions inspection facility, at the request of the owner of a vehicle that has failed an on-board diagnostics test, to immediately conduct an exhaust emissions test of the vehicle at no cost to the owner was not approved by the House Environmental Matters Committee.

The bill provided that vehicles that passed the exhaust emissions test after a failed OBD test would be deemed in compliance with emissions standards established for the vehicle.
