What Priddy Says: A new grille and sleeker headlights are easy to see through the light camouflage, and more aggressive fog lights are also visible. The Altima will continue on the Nissan D platform, and a new 2.0L turbo-charged four-cylinder engine is expected. It’s not clear if Nissan will keep the older 2.5L I4 motor around, however, an updated version of the 3.5L V6 should continue as the up-market motor.

Chrysler Group LLC announced the opening of Mopar distribution centers in Argentina and Brazil. The parts distribution center in Argentina is located in General Rodriguez, Buenos Aires. The 3,000-sq.-meter facility will distribute more than 10,000 part numbers to more than 25 dealer locations. The 4,500-sq.-meter facility in Brazil is located in Louveira, Sao Paulo, and will move more than 20,000 parts to support 30 dealers. “We are opening Mopar operations in Argentina and Brazil in order to further support our network of dealers and customers in these growing markets,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “We will continue to look for strategic opportunities to provide even more support for our customers around the world.”

These include the U.S. Trade Representatives Office, Commerce, Agriculture, Homeland Security, Justice, State, and Treasury, as well as the intelligence community, marshaling the forces of trade litigators, language-proficient researchers, subject matter and economic analysts, and foreign-based personnel located within these disparate offices to create a common front in pressing other nations to comply with global trade rules and to maintain open markets on a nondiscriminatory basis.

AP Exhaust Technologies Inc. acquired the assets of ANSA Automotive Parts Distributors. The sale was finalized December 23, and the terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to a release from the Marx Group Advisors—the agency that brokered the sale—all assets of ANSA, including inventory, were sold to AP Exhaust and have been relocated from ANSA in Macon, Georgia, to AP Exhaust’s headquarters in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Crane Cams announced that it has moved to an expanded facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. Team BIGFOOT has called on veteran driver Eric Tack to pilot the monster truck for the 2012 season. In addition to driving, Tack will also help train on-deck driver JR Adams. Tack’s record behind the wheel of Team Bigfoot’s truck includes capturing his first championship in 2000, the inaugural ProMT title, and Monster Nationals championships in 2002 and 2003. After being laid off from his job as a diesel mechanic at Ford, Turgeon took a risk by leaving his hometown to learn more about what he loves the most, motorcycles. As a Dream Award winner, he will receive a $2,500 scholarship to pursue advanced programs in his field of study.

The raceway is co-owned by longtime Federated spokesperson and dirt-track legend Ken Schrader. Federated also announced that the newly renamed raceway will host the inaugural 2012 Federated Auto Parts World of Outlaws “Ironman 55” race in August.

CRC Industries announced that the company will participate in the 2012 season of “Two Guys Garage” and “TruckU,” produced by Brenton Productions and aired on the Speed Channel. According to CRC, the shows will feature CRC products in use and on the set to promote the company’s CRC BRAKLEEN brake parts cleaner and full line of automotive maintenance products. AP Exhaust Technologies Inc. acquired the assets of ANSA Automotive Parts Distributors. The sale was finalized December 23, and the terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to a release from the Marx Group Advisors—the agency that brokered the sale—all assets of ANSA, including inventory, were sold to AP Exhaust and have been relocated from ANSA in Macon, Georgia, to AP Exhaust’s headquarters in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Crane Cams announced that it has moved to an expanded facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. Tack’s record behind the wheel of Team Bigfoot’s truck includes capturing his first championship in 2000, the inaugural ProMT title, and Monster Nationals championships in 2002 and 2003.
