Joni Wiman Gets Fourth Win in Four Starts in Infinity-ECU Tuned GRC Lites
Joni Wiman has notched four first-place wins in four starts in the inaugural season of the Global Rallycross Lites series after the finals at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Wiman has appeared unstoppable this season despite consistent competition from Sebastian Eriksson and young phenom Mitchell deJong. Eriksson is currently second overall in the series while 15-year-old deJong moved from fourth to third overall after two second-place podium finishes at X Games L.A. and Atlanta. The Atlanta race featured multiple lead changes coupled with a battle for second place.

Oliver Racing Parts Moves to Charlevoix
Oliver Racing Parts, manufacturers of high-performance connecting rods for motorsports applications, is moving its operations and manufacturing to a more modern, 70,000-sq.-ft. facility in Charlevoix, Michigan. The relocation will take place in three phases and is expected to be complete by the first week of October. The move will allow Oliver an opportunity to upgrade its manufacturing and packaging equipment in a new facility—moves that will enable Oliver to continue expanding their line of high-performance products. The company will now be located at 5339 N. M-66 North in Charlevoix.

James Yom Wins SCCA National Championship
James Yom of Los Angeles earned his first Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) National Championship Wednesday at the 41st Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships held at the Lincoln, Nebraska, airport. Driving a Honda S2000, Yom toppe­d 13 other competitors in the B Stock class to win the two-day competition that pits drivers from across the country in a single-event, winner-take-all format. Nick Barbato of Wethersfield, Connecticut, finished second—0.135-second behind Yom in aggregate time.
 
Held for the fifth straight year on three million sq. ft. of concrete at the Lincoln Airport, more than 1,000 drivers compete in the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships for titles in 66 separate car classes. The event features two distinct courses set up on the tarmac with traffic cones. Competitors are afforded three runs on both the East and West courses over two days, with the fastest aggregate time of the two courses determining the winner. Drivers are classified as amateurs, meaning they compete for the love of the sport rather than for money.
 
Half of the entered drivers competed Tuesday, September 3, and Wednesday, September 4, with the other half competing Thursday, September 5, and Friday, September 6.
