The TORA Fall Nationals Pinewood Drags is the highlight of the annual TORA awards reception at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The Fall Nationals provides not only an exciting networking experience, but TORA members also “rent” Pinewood racers in exchange for donations to SEMA Cares. Will you be racing in 2012?

Education and Training: The Truck and Off-Road Alliance (TORA) learning track, available through the SEMA Education Institute (www.SEMA.org/sei; SEI) hosts several reference tools for installers and retailers, including guides to pickup bed dimensions, keyless entry wiring and center high-mounted stop light wiring as well as a video explaining why paint colors may vary from truck to truck. Manufacturers and retailers alike will benefit from the online product training modules on SEI, developed and pioneered by TORA and SEI.

New Product Showcase: The annual TORA New Product Showcase at the Truck Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, puts TORA-member products on display in front of one of the largest gatherings of truck enthusiasts in the country. Photographs of the products are displayed at the SEMA Show and on the TORA web pages, and manufacturers have opportunity to participate in a project build-up on site at the event.

Networking: The TORA industry reception at the SEMA Show, featuring the TORA Fall Nationals Pinewood Drag Races, is recognized as one of the premier light-truck accessory industry events of the year. Throughout the year, TORA strives to communicate with its members through SEMA eNews, SEMA News and social media.

Message From The Chair Of TORA

TORA is focused on delivering real-world programs that drive education and growth for member companies in the light-truck accessories market. Our brand-new product-training program will soon be launched on SEI, and TORA member suppliers can purchase affordable training modules that provide retailers and WDs with product information in a consistent format, focused on selling the sizzle of their product line. If your company is not an TORA member, there is no better time to join. If your company is an TORA member, there can be no better time for you to make the commitment, get engaged and see how rewarding it can be to take part in the growth of projects like these.

—George Lathouris, Senior Category Manager, Keystone Automotive Operations

TORA Select Committee Testimonial

Being part of the TORA select committee team has been a rewarding experience. Networking with other WDs, vendors and reps that we don’t run into or deal with on an everyday basis is beneficial. Everyone in the group is very welcoming, hard working and not afraid to address issues that matter to our members.
