Years spent working in the automotive aftermarket?

How did you first begin to work in the automotive aftermarket?

I'm a 3rd generation Steele family member in the business. I began helping my grandmother by filing and doing other odd jobs around the company. Later on, when I was a high school student, I held summer jobs with the company doing everything from making restoration parts to customer service. After college and some experience in other industries, I came back to Steele in 2005 in the Marketing department.

Did you have a mentor in the industry?

Yes

If yes, and you’re comfortable sharing, who?

I have recently been matched with Kim Mitchell from Eaton Detroit Spring whom I was happy to meet at the Hotrod & Restoration Show. Other mentors have been my supervisor, Eric Saltrick and my father Matt Agosta. They have both helped me learn a lot about the industry outside of Steele's walls.

What is the most satisfying aspect about your work?
I enjoy working with our new products team from the beginning of an idea to product launch.

What are your major professional accomplishments, memberships, areas of service?
My product releases have been published in over 25 different industry publications. I have also had much of my product research turn into new product lines. I am a member of both SBN and YEN.

(Optional) Personal information regarding marriage, children, interests:

I'm currently attending Pfeiffer University and am in the process of getting a dual degrees, an MBA and Masters of Science in Leadership and Organizational Change. I am also very involved in my local and state Jaycee organizations. This year, I am serving as local PR Director. I have also served as Membership VP and Individual Development VP and Secretary for the NC Jaycees in the past.
