Comedian Bill Engvall to Entertain at 2009 SEMA Show


DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (July 15, 2009) – Comedian Bill Engvall will be the featured entertainer at the SEMA Industry Awards Banquet, Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
 
Each year, thousands of industry professionals attend the Industry Awards Banquet to honor new SEMA Hall of Fame members and to recognize winners of several industry awards. Engvall will entertain the audience following the announcements of the SEMA awards, including Person of the Year, WD of the Year and Manufacturers' Rep of the Year.
 
“One of the unique characteristics about the SEMA industry is that it is made up of an amazing group of professionals, many of whom have a deep-seeded passion for the automotive industry,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of events and communications. “The SEMA Industry Awards Banquet is a special time to gather and pay tribute to those who have made an immense impact and contributed to the industry.”

Engvall’s ability to connect with audiences has made him one of the most popular and busiest comedians today. He currently stars in his own television show on TBS, "The Bill Engvall Show," and also hosts "Country Fried Home Videos" on CMT. He's also known for his work with Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy in the sketch comedy show "Blue Collar TV." Engvall has appeared in numerous movies and has made several appearances on "The Tonight Show" and the "Late Show with David Letterman."
