CHIP FOOSE RETURNS TO SUPPORT SEMA CAR SHOW
-- Public Car Show in Southern California Raises Money for Children’s Charities --

Diamond Bar, CA (April 28, 2010) -- Chip Foose, award-winning automotive designer, will return as Grand Marshal of the second annual SEMA Show 'N Shine car show, Saturday, July 24, at the Pasadena Convention Center.

Presented by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), the Show ‘N Shine is a unique event where the general public is invited to get a firsthand look at more than 150 highly coveted vehicles representing a variety of niches and lifestyles.

“We're thrilled that Chip has accepted our invitation to join us once again,” said Show ‘N Shine organizer Mike Spagnola of Street Scene Equipment. Foose began working in the auto industry at the age of 7 for his father’s company. With a passion for automobiles and an education in art design, he has become one of today’s most highly acclaimed automotive designers. In addition to displaying vehicles from his personal collection, Foose will be available at the SEMA Show ‘N Shine to sign autographs and meet with fans.

"Last year, I watched as Chip paused from an interview to draw a car on the T-shirt for one of the children from Childhelp,” said Joel Ayres, chairman of the SEMA CARES Committee. “The young boy later exclaimed it was the best day of his life.”

The Show ‘N Shine is a fundraising event, with proceeds benefiting two children’s charities: Childhelp and Victory Junction Gang Camp. The car show will be held in conjunction with the 3rd Annual SEMA CARES Pinewood Drag Races, which is also a fundraiser benefiting the two charities.
"I was thrilled to be a part of the inaugural SEMA Show 'N Shine last year and am even more excited to return for 2010,” says Foose. “SEMA is an important organization for car enthusiasts and industry people like myself, and I’m proud to take part and work in supporting children's charities through this event."

Tickets to the SEMA Show ‘N Shine will be available at the event for $5 per adult; Children 12 and under are free of charge. Vehicle owners interested in showing their cars or trucks may sign up at www.sema.org/shownshine. Vehicle entry is $75 and includes a collector-edition T-Shirt and a chance to win four nights hotel accommodations in Las Vegas during the trade-only SEMA Show, along with having their vehicle displayed at the annual event.
