New CAD Data Available for Jeep Wrangler, Scion FR-S

Open to SEMA’s manufacturing members, the Technology Transfer program—which offers users access to CAD drawings provided by participating OEMs—has recently received CAD data for the ’12 Scion FR-S and ’13 Jeep Wrangler.

The SEMA Technology Transfer program recently received a series of new computer-aided design (CAD) files, including new files for the ’13 Jeep Wrangler and the ’12 Scion FR-S. The Technology Transfer program was developed with the intent of minimizing or eliminating the necessity for manufacturing members to produce products through reverse engineering.

CAD files available currently for the Wrangler focus on chassis, suspension, exterior body and the instrument panel/gauge cluster. The files for the Scion FR-S include engine assembly (2.0L), front and rear suspension, front and rear brake assemblies, exterior body panels and transmission and differential.

To access these files, manufacturers are encouraged to visit here. Manufacturers that would like access to additional files not mentioned above are also invited to visit and make a request.

In addition to the new CAD file contributions from Chrysler and Scion, Technology Transfer has received files from other existing OEM partners, including new files for the ’11 Chevrolet Corvette, ’11 Ford F-150 and ’13 Cadillac XTS.
