The SEMA Motorsports Products & Media Council (MPMC) is accepting nominations for its Robert E. Petersen Media Award until Friday, January 2. Presented at the MPMC Media Trade Conference, in Anaheim, California, January 2026, the award honors a member of the media--whether in print, online or broadcast--who has made a significant contribution to the motorsports industry.

"Journalists are pivotal to sharing the stories, excitement, and passion that exist within the racing industry," said Marcy Yanus, SEMA director of member engagement. "By nominating someone for this award, you can help make sure that our industry's storytellers are recognized for their achievements and celebrated for their work."
Award criteria include:
- Must be an automotive/motorsports journalist
- Must be published in print or online
- Must actively engage/support motorsports with positive content
- Must support the MPMC and its mission
