Video—Preview Two Battle of the Builders Vehicles Coming to the 2018 SEMA Show

By Della Domingo

Get a sneak peek into the vehicles of two Battle of the Builders competitors. Two unique vehicles, one classic and one import will battle it out at the 2018 SEMA Show.

Mike Thomas grew up tinkering on a ’76 Ford F-250 with his father and has a passion for cars. He is now building a classic ’64 Ford Falcon for exhibiting company Derale Performance, and will compete in SEMA Battle of the Builders with that vehicle. He tried to keep the original look by repainting manufacturer parts from a few other aftermarket companies, including the stamping on the radiator hose and other original features. Although few builders his age are interested in classic cars, learn why Thomas thinks SEMA Battle of the Builders offers builders like him a unique opportunity to showcase their work by viewing his video:

Daniel Gad is the owner and builder of his ’13 Subaru Impreza STI. He has spent more than a year building the vehicle, which he plans bring to the 2018 SEMA Battle of the Builder competition. The one-of-a-kind wide-body kit and hand-manufactured hood come from Japan. Gad prefers to work with carbon fiber, and the vehicle has carbon-fiber features throughout.
